No7 is one of those iconic brands that many skincare enthusiasts rave about, yet it might still be under the radar for some. It’s known for products that promise fuss-free yet effective solutions to common skin concerns. Their Lift & Luminate Triple Action Night Cream, quite the mouthful of a name, claims to reduce wrinkles, firm up the complexion, and even out skin tone. I decided to give it a full week’s test run to see if it lives up to the brand’s praise and whether it’s truly worth your hard-earned cash.

Note: This review isn’t paid or sponsored in any way, and all opinions here are genuine impressions formed from my personal experience. Keep in mind that skincare results can vary quite a bit from person to person, depending on individual skin types and concerns.

What Is Lift & Luminate Triple Action Night Cream?

This product from No7 fits into the category of night creams, which are moisturizers designed specifically for use before bedtime. They work alongside your body’s natural nighttime repair process by offering targeted ingredients while you sleep. According to No7, the Lift & Luminate Triple Action Night Cream focuses on three main concerns, reducing wrinkles, firming the skin, and evening out skin tone. It’s infused with a relaxing scent and uses a blend of hydrating Shea Butter and Matrixyl 3000+™ (a collagen peptide-based technology) to address signs of aging. Additionally, it’s formulated to offer moisture without feeling too heavy, making it a potential option even for oily skin types seeking an overnight product that doesn’t add extra shine.

Did It Work?

In the pursuit of science, I paused my trusty night cream for a few days just to give this one a proper, unbiased shot (that’s as rigorous as it gets in my world!). Over the course of a week, I used the Lift & Luminate Triple Action Night Cream every night. The creamy texture felt luxe right off the bat, and I did appreciate that it absorbed without leaving behind a heavy or sticky residue. At first, it had a noticeable fragrance, relaxing but slightly stronger than what I’m used to, yet it faded after a few minutes in a way that didn’t bother me too much.

By mid-week, I started to see my skin looking fairly plump and fresh each morning, which was a pleasant surprise. There wasn’t a dramatic overnight miracle for wrinkles, but my complexion did appear a bit smoother and more supple. Toward the end of the test period, any improvements in firmness were subtle, and I didn’t notice significant changes in skin tone uniformity (though maybe that would take longer to show up). All in all, it performed decently for a short trial, delivering enough hydration to keep my combination skin comfortable throughout the night.

Did it live up to every claim? In part. The moisturizing effect and mild smoothness were there, but it wasn’t as transformative on wrinkles or dark spots as I’d hoped. While the results were still respectable for a quick test, it wasn’t quite enough to dethrone my go-to night cream. I can see how it might be a solid option for some, but personally, I don’t think I’ll be adding it to my permanent lineup just yet.

Lift & Luminate Triple Action Night Cream’s Main Ingredients Explained

This night cream features a blend of hydrators, peptides, and vitamins to help keep skin nourished and supported while you sleep. Let’s break down some of the standout components:

Shea Butter & Glycerin: These two powerhouse moisturizers are at the forefront, providing lasting hydration to the skin. Shea Butter in particular is known for its ultra-nourishing properties, though some individuals with very congested or acne-prone skin may find it slightly comedogenic. (If an ingredient is comedogenic, it means it can block pores and potentially cause breakouts, depending on your particular skin type.)

Matrixyl 3000+™ (Collagen Peptide-Based Technology): Peptides can be a welcome addition to anti-aging routines, as they support the appearance of smoother, firmer-looking skin. While you likely won’t see major wrinkle reduction in just a week, they’re worth keeping in your skincare arsenal if you’re in it for the long haul.

Hibiscus Peptides & Hyaluronic Acid: These ingredients offer an extra boost of hydration and help keep skin feeling plump. Hyaluronic Acid, in particular, is prized for its ability to hold many times its weight in water, which helps your complexion stay supple and fresh.

Vitamins A, C & E: Vitamins are included mostly for their antioxidant and brightening effects. Vitamin C (in the form of ascorbyl glucoside) can help even out skin tone, although it may take more than a week of consistent use to see any major improvement in stubborn dark spots or discoloration.

Pre-Sleep Fragrance & Other Notables: This formula is also infused with a calming scent to enhance a relaxing bedtime vibe. Do note that if you have sensitivities to fragrances, it’s something to keep in mind. As for diet-based preferences, the ingredient list doesn’t appear to contain obvious animal-derived components, so it’s possible that this product is suitable for vegetarians. However, because it’s not officially stated as vegan by the brand, you might want to do a bit more research if that’s a strict requirement for you.

Overall, these ingredients work together to deliver decent hydration and a touch of smoothing, but as always, results can vary and you’ll want to patch test first if you have very sensitive or breakout-prone skin. It’s also worth mentioning that the cream contains a bit of Alcohol denat. (denatured alcohol), which can be drying for some, but it’s balanced with moisturizers like Glycerin and Shea Butter to help keep skin comfortable.

What I Liked/Didn’t Like

After a week of nightly use, there were a few standout positives and a couple of potential drawbacks worth noting.

What Works Well:

  • Feels moisturizing without leaving a heavy film on the skin
  • Contains peptides and vitamins that can support smoother, firmer-looking skin over time
  • Spreads easily and absorbs fairly quickly

What to Consider:

  • Contains fragrance that may not suit those sensitive to scents
  • Results on wrinkles or discoloration may take longer than a week to become noticeable
  • Individuals with very sensitive or acne-prone skin might want to patch test first

My Final Thoughts

This is one of those products that certainly tries to tick all the boxes, delivering hydration, a dash of peptides, and a whiff of relaxing fragrance in the process. As someone who’s tried a fair share of night creams, some great, some not so much, I gave Lift & Luminate Triple Action Night Cream a fair shot. While it helped my skin look plump and feel comfortable in the mornings, the brand’s more ambitious claims (like noticeable wrinkle reduction and significant brightening) left me wanting more, at least within the relatively short time I was using it. It’s not a disappointment by any means, but it’s also not a jaw-dropping wonder-at-first-touch, either.

Who’s this for? If you want a solid, mid-range night cream that moisturizes nicely, includes peptides, and is generally comfortable on oily or combination skin, this may be worth exploring. If you’re hoping for a dramatic transformation on wrinkles or stubborn discoloration, at least in the near term, it may not live up to every promise. Personally, I’d give it a 6.5/10, which is decent enough to recommend to some friends, especially those looking for an all-purpose hydrator that plays well with a variety of skin types. Still, I’d encourage folks to compare it with other options before settling on it as a holy grail.

Those alternatives include a favorite of mine, the Nocturnal Revive Cream by Deascal, which is an excellent allrounder with enough oomph to leave skin feeling renewed without breaking the bank. I’ve also had great results from the Pro-Collagen Night Cream by ELEMIS, which sinks in beautifully and makes the skin noticeably smoother by morning. Another honorary mention goes to Bouncy & Firm Sleeping Mask by LANEIGE, a silky formula perfect for sealing in moisture overnight. If you’re after something with a little extra protective barrier support, the Squalane + Ectoin Overnight Rescue by BIOSSANCE is one I’ve turned to for deep nourishment and calmer skin.

Night creams are an indispensable part of a solid skincare routine, and I like to rotate a few to maintain a healthy, balanced complexion. However, no matter which product you end up choosing, it’s always important to perform a patch test if you’re new to it, especially if you have sensitive or breakout-prone skin. Remember that instant results are more myth than reality, sustained usage is the name of the game for most skincare benefits, and you’ll need to keep it up to see longer-term improvements.
