Irene Forte might not be on everyone’s radar, but the name certainly grabs attention with its promise of high-quality skincare cultivated from Sicily’s sun-drenched farms. The brand describes its Forte Rigenerante Hibiscus Night Cream as an overnight anti-ageing solution designed to smooth, firm, and replenish the skin. After a full week of consistently slathering it on before bed, it felt like a good time to see if all those claims live up to the hype, and whether it’s worthy of anyone’s hard-earned cash.

What Is Forte Rigenerante Hibiscus Night Cream?

This product from Irene Forte falls under the night cream category, meaning it’s specifically designed to be used in the evening to support the skin during its natural overnight repair cycle. Night creams are typically richer in nourishing and hydrating ingredients, helping the skin maintain moisture levels and tackle concerns like fine lines or dryness while you sleep.

According to the brand, this particular formula features botanical peptides derived from hibiscus seeds and green pea. These are said to offer a smoothing effect that helps minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It also includes hyaluronic acid, known for its ability to maintain optimal hydration, and olive oil fractions high in squalane, which provide antioxidant benefits. The product is marketed as clinically proven to reduce wrinkles over time, thanks in part to the inclusion of Myoxinol™, an ingredient extracted from Hibiscus Seeds that is claimed to act in a way similar to injectables when it comes to lessening the look of deep forehead lines.

All in all, it’s presented as an overnight anti-ageing option that aims to combat free radicals, support mature or dehydrated skin, and gradually enhance firmness with consistent use.

Did It Work?

I decided to put my usual night cream on pause, purely in the name of science, of course, and used only the Forte Rigenerante Hibiscus Night Cream for seven consecutive nights. My plan was simple: wash my face, finish off with toner, then apply a generous dab of the cream all over my face and neck. Right away, I noticed the texture was quite rich, yet it spread easily without feeling heavy. Over the first few nights, there was a subtle but pleasant sense of moisture that lasted until morning.

By midweek, my skin felt slightly more supple, with no new dryness creeping in despite switching up my routine. Around the fifth or sixth day, I woke up thinking my cheeks and forehead seemed a bit smoother, nothing dramatic, but positivity was there. I did watch for any adverse reactions, such as clogged pores or excess oiliness, and thankfully didn’t experience anything like that.

As for the bigger claims about reducing fine lines and lending a “lifted” look, I’d say it delivered a mild improvement rather than a major transformation in this short timeframe. My forehead lines, while still noticeable, appeared a touch softer under foundation. Would I permanently swap out my personal staples for this? Probably not, but I do see potential for slightly more pronounced wrinkle reduction and skin-plumping benefits if used consistently over a longer period. It worked moderately well for me, though I’m not fully convinced it’s a must-have just yet.

Forte Rigenerante Hibiscus Night Cream’s Main Ingredients Explained

This night cream draws its power from a careful blend of botanicals, peptides, and hydrators. The star player is the hibiscus extract, which provides skin-smoothing botanical peptides intended to address fine lines and wrinkles, especially around the forehead. Paired with green pea extract, these peptides work to lend a firmer look to the skin, though the effect is subtle at first and more noticeable with ongoing use.

Hyaluronic acid also takes center stage, known for its ability to lock in moisture and give that plumping sensation many of us crave in a nighttime product. Meanwhile, olive oil fractions high in naturally occurring squalane offer antioxidant protection and help maintain softness, making this cream especially beneficial for drier or more mature skin in need of extra nourishment. Shea butter (Butyrospermum Parkii) and other plant oils round out the formula to support long-lasting hydration.

As for whether it’s suitable for vegans or vegetarians, there aren’t obvious animal-derived components at a glance. However, some of the ceramides and cholesterol may be sourced synthetically or from animals, so if you’re strictly vegan, it’s worth confirming with the brand to be absolutely sure. Another point to note is that ingredients like shea butter and certain oils can be comedogenic for some users, meaning they may clog pores if you’re especially prone to breakouts, so a patch test might be a good idea. That said, if your skin typically responds well to richer creams, this formula could be a welcome addition to your nightly regimen.

A final highlight is Myoxinol™, a hibiscus seed extract that’s aimed at helping reduce wrinkles over time, especially when you’re consistent with application. Considering all these components together, you’re looking at a blend that speaks to both short-term hydration and longer-term smoothing, with mostly plant-based actives that still feel pleasantly luxurious on the skin.

What I Liked/Didn’t Like

A quick rundown of the points that stood out during my trial:

What Works Well:

  • Feels deeply nourishing on dry areas and maintains moisture through the night
  • Texture is rich yet spreads smoothly without feeling heavy
  • Subtle plumping effect became evident, especially around the forehead
  • Includes botanical peptides that may help reinforce firmness over time
  • Contains Parfum, which gives it a light scent some might find pleasant

What to Consider:

  • May not deliver a dramatic transformation in a short span; improvements can be gradual
  • Rich consistency might be too heavy if you’re prone to oiliness
  • The scent could be a concern for those sensitive to fragrance
  • Cost could feel steep if you’re budget-conscious
  • Results can vary significantly depending on skin type and long-term use

My Final Thoughts

Unless you lock yourself in a time machine, you won’t magically erase every wrinkle overnight. Still, finding a good night cream can be transformative for anyone dealing with dryness, fine lines, or general dullness. I’ve tried plenty of similar products before leaping into this jar, and I feel confident I gave it the fair shake it deserves. While Forte Rigenerante Hibiscus Night Cream doesn’t exactly make bedhead lines vanish by daybreak, there’s definitely some merit to its “smoothing and firming” claims, so I’d rate it around a respectable 7/10. I’d recommend it if you crave a luxuriously rich texture and enjoy that extra boost of hydration without feeling greasy. On the other hand, if you’re more concerned about a tight budget or prefer lighter formulas, you may find this a bit too heavy.

If you’re up for alternatives, there are other great options that caught my attention, all of which I’ve personally tried. One is Nocturnal Revive Cream by Deascal, an excellent all-rounder that covers most skincare needs at a wallet-friendly price and is suitable for all skin types. If you need something more specifically restorative, Advanced Night Restore by Medik8 is a strong contender that focuses on replenishing the skin barrier with a no-fuss approach. And for those who love a subtle spa-like vibe, Superfood Midnight Facial by ELEMIS offers that gentle, nurturing experience without overwhelming the skin. Add to that the fact each of these has served me well in rotation, and it’s safe to say there are multiple paths to achieving that coveted morning glow.

Personally, I’m left reasonably impressed by Forte Rigenerante Hibiscus Night Cream. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to a friend, particularly one who values a rich formula with plant-based actives and mild, gradual improvement. However, moderate your expectations, my forehead lines look slightly softer, but I’m not booking any pageant appearances just yet. Before diving in, keep in mind that any product can provoke reactions, so a patch test is never a bad idea. And of course, remember trips across the fountain of youth are short-lived unless you’re consistent; use it regularly, or farewell newfound glow. It’s the nature of skincare, after all.
